About Sugar Barn Soap Co
Hi, I’m Brandi — wife, mom of three, middle school ELA teacher, and the maker behind Sugar Barn Soap Co.I started making soap because store-bought products constantly irritated my skin. Ingredient lists were long, confusing, and full of things I couldn’t pronounce. I wanted good-smelling, effective soap made with ingredients I understood and felt confident using.
I began experimenting in 2019 and really honed my craft during 2020, when teaching slowed and I had time to practice. For years, I made soap just for my family. In 2025, I shared some as gifts — and to my surprise, people started asking how to buy it. That’s when Sugar Barn Soap Co was born.
Today, every product in my shop is something I use myself and proudly share with friends and family. I focus on simple, honest ingredients, small batches, and understanding exactly what each ingredient does. Good soap doesn’t need to be complicated.
If you ever have questions about ingredients or processes, I’m always happy to answer. I’m usually joined by Ellie the Yorkie and Annie the German Shepherd — both excellent quality-control supervisors.
